Erste student discount

You need to enter the referral code you get here in the Diverzum app when opening your account. There will be a “Do you have a referral code?” page where you will enter the code. Copy and save the code you get when you redeem the offer.
If you can’t find it later, you can always return to the Diverzum app and copy the referral code again.
If you start opening the account on a weekend, bank confirmation may take up to 48 hours, but on working days it will definitely arrive, no action needed.

Erste Student Loan Account (online account opening) 18+
This offer is only available for students over 18. If you want a regular bank account, check the other discount card.

How to open the account?

▶️ Prepare the necessary documents: valid ID card and address card.

Account opening steps:

• Download the George Hungary (George App) from the App Store or Google Play Store and open it.

• Click the “Not an Erste customer?” tile (NOT the Login)

• Prepare your documents

• Make the necessary declarations (=complete the process)

• Enter your real email address (this will be your ID later) and enter the Erste confirmation code sent by email into the app (it may take 1-3 minutes to receive the code)

• Declare that you are not a public figure and act on your own behalf.

• Photograph the front and back of your chip ID card, avoiding glare.

• Scan the chip in the ID with NFC: touch your phone’s back to the ID and hold still until successful.

• Take a selfie for identification in the app. Don’t wear glasses, have a bright background, and center your face in the circle.

• Follow the moving dot on the screen with your eyes (to prove you’re a live person, not a robot).

• Photograph the address side of your address card.

• Check the data recognized by the system. If all is correct, proceed.

• Choose “Account and card” when asked what you need.

• AT THIS POINT ENTER THE REFERRAL CODE YOU GET IN THE DIVERZUM APP BY SWIPING THE SLIDER

• Select the following bank account package: (this is how you get the 75,000 HUF - swipe to see options).

  • Erste Student Loan Account

• Choose the related bank card (e.g. Visa Student Loan Bank Card).

• Change the mailing address if you want the card sent somewhere other than the address on your address card.

• Set up what notifications you want on your phone (e.g. transfers, card payments - these may have extra fees).

• Review and check the tax declarations.

• Fill out the customer profile questionnaire.

• Check your data on the “Summary” tab.

• Set your transfer limit.

• Enter your phone number where the code for signing can be sent.

• Read and accept the contract and information (scroll to the bottom - “I have read and accept” button).

• Enter the one-time code received by SMS. This signs the contract electronically.

You are eligible for the Erste Student Loan Account if, according to the Student Loan Center (DHK) records:
If you are applying for a student or training loan now

• Start the loan application process at www.diakhiteldirekt.hu.
• Choose to have a discounted Student Loan Account at Erste during the application.
• After submitting your application, the Student Loan Center verifies your eligibility and notifies you via your Student Loan Direct account if your data was forwarded to Erste Bank.
• Once notified, you can start opening the Erste Student Loan Account with the “Continue” button at the bottom of the page 1 working day later.

If you already have a student loan
If you have already received a student or training loan and are still in the disbursement phase, you can switch to a discounted Student Loan Account anytime.

• Fill out the declaration about the Student Loan Account in the “Forms–Discounts” menu in your www.diakhiteldirekt.hu account, indicating you want the discounted account at Erste! Then electronically send the declaration to the Student Loan Center.
• The Student Loan Center verifies your eligibility and notifies you via your Student Loan Direct account if your data was forwarded to Erste Bank.
• Once notified, you can start opening the Erste Student Loan Account with the “Continue” button at the bottom of the page 1 working day later.

You are eligible for the offer if:
▶️ You have not had an Erste bank account in the last 180 days
▶️ You made all necessary declarations during the process
▶️ You do not close your account for at least TWO YEARS from account opening
▶️ You are at least 18 years old

How to get the 75,000 HUF credit?
👉 You get 10,000 HUF if you open an account online as a Diverzum user. Deadline: by 2026.12.31 at the latest.
👉 You get 30,000 HUF if you also request a card. Deadline: simultaneously with account opening.
👉 You get 10,000 HUF if you make at least 3 purchases with your card linked to the account and receive at least one single incoming transfer of 50,000 HUF (or 100,000 HUF if not choosing the Student One Account). Deadline: by 2027.02.28 at the latest.
👉 You get 25,000 HUF if you receive at least 50,000 HUF in two consecutive months (or 100,000 HUF if not choosing the Student One Account), activate the Round-Up feature, and make at least one recorded Round-Up transaction. Deadline: by 2027.03.31.

When will the money arrive in your account?

If you meet all conditions and are eligible:
💸 10,000 HUF for Diverzum account opening: arrives by the 15th of the month following account opening
💸 30,000 HUF Erste promotion for card request: arrives by the end of the month following account opening
💸 10,000 HUF for 3 card purchases and one incoming transfer of at least 50,000 HUF (or 100,000 HUF if not Student One Account): arrives by the 15th of the month following completion
💸 25,000 HUF for two consecutive months’ incoming transfers of 50,000 HUF each (or 100,000 HUF if not Student One Account) and one recorded Round-Up transaction: arrives by the end of the month following completion.

Account fees with the cheapest card choice
Account management fee: 0 HUF
Card issuance fee: 0 HUF (Visa Student Loan Bank Card, only first year)
Annual card fee: 0 HUF (Visa Student Loan Bank Card, from 2nd year)
The promotion applies only to independent online account openings, not if opened with branch assistance! As a foreign citizen, you can only start the account opening process in an Erste branch if you have a Hungarian authority-issued card-format ID or driver’s license or passport AND address card! Offer validity
